Wayne Albert Graham known as Proper King was born in Kingston. During his childhood he was growing up in Westkingston, Augusttown, Papine, on the Mavisbank, where his family originally came from, and in Portland.

During his time on the Mavisbank he got in touch with the music, attending the church of his grandmother every evening. There his talent showed up the first time. Unfortunately his family did not support this big talent and after he left Mona Secondary School in Kingston he had to work as taylor and salesman to survive. But nevertheless, music was always his compagnion while struggling to survive in the ghetto every day. Music gave him the strength to go on even when shooting and killing around him seemed not to stop anymore.

The people of Papine respect him for his lyrics, his songs and Proper King performed on several stage shows with famous artists as Capleton, Beenieman and Wayne Marshal. Tragical incidents in his community lead to his decision to move out from this place and Proper King went to Portland. Beside his work as salesman, he started to work with artists in Portland and recorded several songs in local studios He performed on stage shows in the area and Digicel Roadshow in Port Antonio.

2012 he got chances to work on his career as talented DJ in a better way. He recorded the songs Magic Touch` and `Too late` in Studiomix, Kingston, he kept his own stage show in Portland in March 2013 with many local artists and recorded `Springwater` at Cellblock Studio in Kingston. His songs `Fall in love and `Springwater` got an airplay on IrieFM.
